I live in a super large metropolitan area (Chicago) and I cannot find a jeweler that can put solid rose gold prongs on my white gold ring. They always say, "well I don't know, it's hard, and we don't have access to it." Is Rose Gold from another planet, and do they have to send astronauts to mine it, or did they bury it with the ancient mummies? Give me a break. Why is this so hard?!!

This website states they work with Rose gold: http://storefront.dexonline.com/the-goldsmith It's been my experience, in another metropolitan area (Kansas City), that most jeweler's don't venture far beyond the generic and trendy. I've learned it's best to find a jeweler that specializes in custom work.

The astronauts must wear special protective suits (more so than what they already wear) when they gather it because it is so poisonous in its pure state. That is why jewelers usually will not use it. Given these explanations, I always appreciate jewelry designers who incorporate this metal into their designs. So yes, rose gold jewelry can be had with a bit of digging, however, it steams me in Tourmaline's case that she cannot find someone local to help her with her needs.

Does anyone know of a catalog that sells rose gold heads? I even checked Rio Grande because I heard they make rose gold heads, but alas, they do not. Ugh!! I don't want Leon (too expensive and I live in a large metro area, so why do I have to ship it off somewhere). I just want a @#$^*&#$!! rose gold head! Ugh!!!

Has anyone ever heard of this website? Well, at least I don't have to fly to Mars . . . yet. This project might go to dust.

They had an absolutely huge selection of rose gold. It was very western in style. I have bought most of my rose gold, if not all of it, in Italy. It is usually easy to find there. After I close this window, I will check the website you posted and see if it is the same one I remember from past Internet wanderings! If it is not, I will also look for the one I used to know. I just need the jeweler to look at the ring, and my stone and then they would tell me exactly what to order. Then I would call the website rosegoldjewelry.com and they would make it for me (at least that's what they told me). They do have a large variety of rose gold mountings and other things, so all hope is not lost. My big thing is that I'm sure this project will lump an extra $200 AT LEAST on top of what I already paid for the setting. We'll see, but I want this done right, or not done at all.
