Hi everyone. I've got a question for Ritani endless love owners. I got engaged in July and gave the fiance a Ritani endless love round halo E-ring. It was not the common endless love halo bezel set that is often seen and talked about here. It was very similar except the round center stone was set with 6 prongs and was above the Halo. The halo was 2 rows of micropave diamonds instead of one row that is around the bezel set endless love halo. My problem is that we've had 3 of the micropave diamonds from the halo fall out in the 3 months we've been engaged. My local jeweler keeps replacing the diamonds but the problem is ongoing. The first 2 diamonds fell out a day after the jeweler cleaned the ring in a ultrasonic cleaner.

So here's my questions...

1. Is this a problem that any other ritani owners have had an issue with?
2. Should we avoid the ultrasonic cleaner even though our jeweler says that it's not the issue?
3. Should we stop having the jeweler replace the diamonds and have the ring sent back to Ritani? (Fiance does not want that since she would be w/o the ring)
4. Would ritani even replace the diamonds and fix the issue since work has been done on the ring by a jeweler and not them? (it was sized by our jeweler as well)

Last thing to mention is that other than using the ultrasonic cleaner she has been very delicate with the ring. Doesn't sleep in it, shower with it, work out it, ect...

Here's the link from the ritani web site of the ring.

Thanks for your help!

I'd have it sent back to Ritani for them to fix. They may or may not do it however since you allowed another jeweler to work on it and that may void the warranty. Ritani is one of the designers who we don't hear as many stories of loosing stones however it is possible in any pave ring, no matter who the maker. usually ultrasonics are considered a no no for pave rings but there are gals here who put their ritani settings in them and they haven't had problems. I'd see what Ritani has to say.

i'm sorry to hear about the problems with your FI's ring. i hope it can be resolved - personally i would talk to ritani at this point to see if they will work on it.

also, i had one thought reading your post... how much was the ring sized? i feel like i have heard that sizing a ring with pave can mess with the integrity of the pave's setting, such that stones can become loose and fall out. maybe the experts could chime in?

I lost a few stones out of a Ritani ring, the problem being is that each stone is set by hand, so a few of the stones weren't ever set correctly, i.e., the seat for the stone was too shallow. I would demand that Ritani fix it if it were me. Ritani would have reset my entire ring if I had wanted, but it seemed to be an isolated incident.

The ring was sized down a 1/4th or 1/2 of a size (can't remember) so it was not a major sizing adjustment.

neatfreak...were you able to deal with Ritani directly or was everything done through the jeweler who then contacted ritani?

i have the ritani endless love halo and i have never had a problem - i would get in touch with Ritani and stop using the ultrasonic cleaner. I was advised that these are not good for the micro pave....but some may disagree.
