I think I found the ring I have been looking for! Has anyone heard of or have done business with Christian Bernard? My girlfriend and I went looking at jewelry stores last night and the last place we went to was Christian Bernard. The first thing that impressed me about them was how they wanted to help us find the right ring, and not only that, he wanted us to understand what we were getting in comparison to other diamonds. He even suggested we take the diamond out of the store into the rest of the mall to see it in not as intense light. They really liked knowing that I had done some research and talked about the diamond in depth as opposed to other places that seemed to almost ignore the importance of the center diamond. Anyway, here are the dimensions, keep in mind I let him know that my budget was $2500 and he shot me a price of $2470. The center diamond is a .44 H SI1, AGS certified Triple 0 I am not really sure what this means but he wrote on the card I see 2 Rating 9.4 The stone is priced at $1899 The mounting is 14K white gold with two diamonds on each side channel set. He gave me the price of $399 I need to know if this is a good price or not. I really did like the people there because they seemed to care about quality. Thanks |

I'm sorry to say that the stone is OVERLY expensive!! At that price, you can get a 0.65 of better quality or a ~0.7ct+ with slightly lower specs. Also, 1899 + 399 = 2298... Which is the correct price, 2298 or 2470? The customer service sounds great, though.

Giangi is right! Go to the top of this page where it says Pricescope in large letters. About an inch below that is Pricescope in small letters, click on that. Click on Search for Cut Quality. Put in .50-.55, G color, VS2, AGS only. You will get seven larger AGS Ideal cut diamonds with higher color and clarity for less $$$. The guy a CB may be your "friend" but his diamond is expensive. There is nothing wrong his diamond except the high price. dimonbob, GG |
