Without even having to look closer at all the stats, I can say that I PERSONALLY would not go with the Super simply because of the indented natural. It would drive me insane knowing it was there, even if it could be completely covered with a prong. That's just one of my pet peeves when it comes to rocks.

Tough choice Spic. It basically boils down to a battle between a higher clarity on one stone and a higher optical symmetry on the other. Which is more important to you? Rich, Independent GG Appraiser |

Post the plotting diagrams. The indented natural is probably not a cause for concern, it's simply part of the original 'skin' of the diamond which was not removed - no doubt for weight purposes, but the odds are that it is located along or just under the girdle edge and rarely poses a concern... But still, the plotting diagram would be quite helpful... Feathers in SI-2 clarity diamonds are something to study very carefully, they are often substantial... Let's see those plots! By the way, a 34 degree crown angle and a 41 degree pavilion angle is NOT "SUPER IDEAL"... that would be a crown angle between 34.3 - 34.8 degrees with a pavilion angle between 40.6 - 40.9 degrees, what you're looking at is just plain old ideal which isn't bad, but it's not super... Think of the scale for the ideal cut rating as a range, and as with any range, it has a high and a low end of the scale so that it will be acceptable to a variety of cutters who might otherwise not submit their diamonds to the AGS laboratory for grading... The center of the range is the intended target, oh we've probably just opened up a S--- storm better get out the rain gear

Hmm what a tough decision! I don't know which I'd choose --- they both sound great!! The diff in HCA scores IMO is minimal...both are excellent.
(faces contributed by better half who wanted to add something to my post)Good luck...good eye on both!
It's a tough decision! The first one has a smaller range of diameter and also looks like it may be a *slight* bit bigger..though that doesn't really help. Hmm. I like that the first one has a Bscope report and the scores on that are exceptional as well. Do either have an IdealScope image?________________________________ |
