Does this seem like a good deal?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=10216&item=2661631131

The price seems really good, but are the dimensions good?

Thanks!

The table is unusually small and there are not enough stats (GIA certs do not provide them) to check optical properties. The price does not seem all that small to me, but I could be wrong here...

No it doesn't when you comapre it to the stones you can find here from vendors we know and would get toasted if they try to rip anyone off. Purchasing a diamond has a certain amount of risk already and buying one thru Ebay there is even more. There are some deals out there but most of those are real people selling off personal jewlery and not the vendors. I got my wife's stone (loose) on Ebay for $1925 and it's a GIA certified F VVS2 1.14kt emerald cut that has a near perfect cut and is absolutly breath taking. A deal like that is worth the risk but I wouldn't even consider Ebay unless it was at least 30 - 40% off what you can get here. Just my 2 cents...

Just did a couple of searches for another guy on this form trying to sell a e-ring and was considering one on ebay and there is not much moving on ebay right now. You may consider low bidding on a few real auctions there you might get lucky. I'd try and stay away from the vendors, you'd find better deals from individuals but there is more risk involved. If the stone is big enough I would consider flying to their city and meet a jewler of your choosing and have them appraise it or at least verify it matches the cert. Hey, it doesn't hurt to make an offer. I asked the seller, I got my stone from, to send it before I paid them (based on my good feedback and their total lack of feedback) and she agreed so I bid. I won and she sent it FedEx (couple of days and a few less hairs on my head later...) and I had it checked out and sent her a certified check that day.

Have you considered a Princess cut? There's a guy here needing to sell one...
