Hello Ladies (and Gents), While researching info for my own much anticipated engagement ring, I came across this, and kept coming back. I am proud to finally join and declare myself a LIW!! Yay me lol So I have finally settled on a ring, after changing my mind multiple times. My e-ring of choice is the Endless Love Ritani ring. Although I am taking that design, and its not actually going to be made by Ritani. It will be made by a Jeweler here in my city, and he will make the halo more dainty, cause its what I want :) So even though its a Ritani design it will have my own little twist to it. So now all there is left to do is wait ..... oh this waiting haha I am happy to be waiting with all of you now, instead of by myself :) |

Thank you all so much for such a nice welcome :) Well my boy and I have been dating for over 3 years now. We started talking about rings and getting engaged for maybe 5 months. So one day we went out to look at a few rings and as mentioned before, I fell in love with the Endless Love one. I wanted a solitaire, but with a flare and I think the pave part of it works well :) After many many attempts of getting some info out of him, he finally cracked and mentioned that he had a wonderful idea on how to propose, that I would love it, but the problem is that he said it was meant to be a summer time proposal  And since winter is slowly approaching, you ladies know I will have a long wait ahead of me Part of me wants want him to adjust the proposal so it can be sooner, but then again he seems to be so happy and proud of what he came up with that I don't want to ruin that for him .... and me. So I might have to wait a while! I think I can do it ....maybe .... possibly lol I will keep everyone updated :) Do you ladies have a long wait too? Do you have your rings picked out? Or know of what you want?

I think you'll find ladies on here who are literally waiting on a proposal anyday, with the e-ring at home under lock and key! Others are thinking SO will purchase a ring soon, and are anxiously waiting out the last few weeks/months. Some are in the process of designing or waiting for a custom creation to be done. Still others have a few years yet to wait. We even have a self-proclaimed LIWFAU (lady-in-waiting-for-an-upgrade) and we have several posters who are married or already engaged but keep coming back to the awesomeness that is the LIW board. We love them all! What we all have in common is our mutual support of one another, and a sharing in the excitement that comes from knowing you have found the one you want to love for life. Many people's "stories" are on the official list and there was an "introduce yourself" thread a while back. So everyone's story is really diverse and unique!

well it sounds like you have a little time as a LIW ahead of you, you're in good company!! if your boyfriend has a sweet proposal already planned you should consider yourself lucky!! he sounds like a keeper!! glad to have you!!

Welcome to PS! While I hope your stay on the LIW list is short you certainly want to let your man do his thing - especially if he is envisioning a perfect proposal. The proposal is certainly "his" thing so as hard as it may be to wait I am sure that in the end you will be very glad that you did! ***The greatest pleasure in life is doing what people say you can not do.*** |

Your right Keeping, The proposal is his thing, which is why I haven't said anything ... and probably won't. As much as I want to show off my ring and tell people that we are getting married, I am just as excited to be in this "waiting" phase. Thinking of him, thinking about it is just as great as anything else
