Is it possible to put a WF stone into a Pearlmans or GOG setting? If so who would set the stone? I would like one of these 3 stones: http://www.whiteflash.com/round_ideal_cut/Round-Ideal-Cut-cut-diamond-1181451.htm# http://www.whiteflash.com/round_ideal_cut/Round-Ideal-Cut-cut-diamond-55176.htm http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/A-Cut-Above-H-A-cut-diamond-1445142.htm# In one of these 3 settings: http://www.goodoldgold.com/setting/RL-H-1671/ http://www.pearlmansjewelers.com/jewelry-designers/gumuchian-fils-jewelry/rings/68J1/ http://www.pearlmansjewelers.com/jewelry-designers/durnell-jewelry/rings/04AA1/ Thanks |

Yeah, it's totally possible to go that route. I think it's perhaps less popular because the vendor of the setting is the one who sets it, and thus, the stone isn't covered by the vendor while setting. That being said, I think Jeweler's Mutual will cover a loose stone during setting if you have the info on the setting and insure it with the stone. I think! It's been a while since I insured mine but I think that was the deal.
