My current diamond is a:

Carat: .90 carat
Color: G
Clarity: SI1
Cut: GIA Excellent
Pol/Sym: VG/EX
Table 55
Depth: 62.1
Crown Angle: 34
Pavilion Angle: 40.8
Fluorescence: none
Measurements: 6.17 - 6.23 x 3.85 mm
girdle: Medium, Faceted

I'm thinking between these two:

and

http://www.firenzejewels.com/store/views.cfm?product_id=3544&view=1&product_number=3370

With the first one I'm just worried about finding a wedding band that would fit, and if it will last over time as styles come and go.

The 2nd one worries me because her sister has a round center and 2 pear side ring as well but it lacks the other diamonds or details, and I don't want them to clash.

Mmm, I like the Firenze one much better, but I wouldn't do it if her sister has something really similar...

Ditto.

Any other styles you liked in searching?

"It is also important for the State to inculcate in its subjects an aversion to any 'conspiracy theory of history' for a search for 'conspiracies' means a search for motives and an attribution of responsibility for historical misdeeds."

-Murray N. Rothbard, in The Anatomy of the State

John Swinton [1829-1901] Chief Editorial Writer of the New York Times (Considered "the Dean of his Profession" by his peers), when asked to toast an 'Independent Press' in a gathering at the National Press Club, circa 1880

"There is no such thing in America as an independent press unless it is in the country towns. You know it, and I know it. There is not one of you who dare express an honest opinion. If you express it you know beforehand that it would never appear in print. I am paid... for keeping my honest opinions out of the paper I am connected with. Others of you are paid similar salaries for doing similar things....

The business of the New York journalist is to distort the truth, to lie outright, to pervert, to vilify, to fawn at the feet of Mammon, and sell his country and race for his daily bread, or for what is about the same thing, his salary. You know this, and I know it and what foolery to be toasting an 'independent press.' We are tools, and the vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are jumping-jacks. They pull the strings and we dance. Our time, our talents, our lives, our possibilities, all are the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes."

I agree also.  Are you still looking?

I also like the Firenze setting better.  But, if her sister has something similar I'd have to agree with the others and suggest you steer clear of it.  In fact, as a matter of point, I'd get something that was completely different than what she has.

Good luck!

Yes I'm still currently looking, but I'm leaning more and more towards the firenze ring. As most of her relatives including her sister who has a similar looking ring picked the firenze. Her sister gave me her blessing on the setting, and when I asked her if she would mind since it was so similar to hers. She said that she didn't think so, and that this setting had much more details and diamonds then hers. Her sister said she was looking more for a simple look with just a center diamond and two pears.

I've looked at rings like the one from Maytal Hannah's site, from her collection ring 21. But this is out of my price range by almost 2k.

I also liked these rings:

http://www.verragio.com/gallery_detail.php?prod_id=685&col_id=56&slide_num=2

I love the cartier, but it's way out of my price range. When I've asked jewelers to recreate it for me it just doesn't look the same, and its still a bit pricey.

As for the verragio I love majority of the ring except for the interior of the band where it has the extra diamonds with the wave. I think its just to thick, and again its out of my price range

I love the Cartier designs but I think they are way over priced for what they offer. Designers like Verragio, Tacori, etc. offer the same quality and service at better pricing.

Also take a look at these designs from Verragio, I think they are in the same group of styling you are going for:

http://verragio.com/gallery_detail.php?prod_id=566&col_id=50

http://verragio.com/gallery_detail.php?prod_id=576&col_id=50&slide_num=2

There was another ring that I saw in the Verragio Classico gallery but it's not there anymore. I think it was also very close to what you are looking for.

Good luck!
