Hi ladies (and gents). I am looking for some info regarding some pull-up type pants for my sons. They are 3 and 4 and are both day trained but still have the odd accident during the night. I don't want to keep buying disposable underwear and am looking for some cloth underwear that has a little extra protection in the pee zone, if that makes sense. Both the boys are just over 40 lbs. Do any of you use anything like this? I am considering the Imse Vimse that I have seen on Amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/Training-Pants-lbs-Jungle-Print/dp/B0017RSXX6/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&s=baby-products&qid=1221239814&sr=1-12 |

My little guy is 2.5 and daytime trained but we're still using pull-ups at night. I've looked into these "underwear" lately myself. I have a friend who told me not to get the "underwear" if he still frequently wets at night because it causes a HUGE mess throughout the bedroom, in the bed, getting up from the bed, across the rug, etc. But, she told me if he only rarely wets at night, they'd be a lot cheaper, eco-friendlier way to handle the occasional pee. She's used similar products for her girls and still uses them for her 3.5 yr old (on long car trips, too.) ~still coming up as anonymous~ somethingshiny *** "Life is change. Growth is optional. I actually just bought some training underpants at Target tonight. They have two kinds, the all cotton ones that have extra padding in the "pee zone", and ones that have a vinyl outside and padded cotton inside in the same area. They are made by Gerber and were around $6 for a package of 3 for the all cotton and the same price for a package of 2 for the vinyl ones. I think the ones with the vinyl outside would be perfect for the occasional night-time accident, and you can wash them in the washing machine and throw them in the dryer. These are the cotton ones: http://www.amazon.com/Gerber-Training-Pants-Boy-Print/dp/B0019QCGHO/ref=sr_1_15?ie=UTF8&s=baby-products&qid=1221542599&sr=8-15 These are the vinyl ones: http://www.amazon.com/Gerber-All-Waterproof-Training-Pants/dp/B0018KP3QW/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&s=apparel&qid=1221542599&sr=8-12 Although I just saw that they go up to 36 pounds....maybe they wouldn't fit afterall.....
