A good friend from HS just got engaged! Her FI works for Tiffany's as a design engineer, so I have been teasing her for a long time about whether she was going to get a Tiffany's ring  We went to an all girls catholic high school together, and always said we would just grow old and have a house full of cats. Now she is getting married in January! Not that I mind, since I have a dog now  . At any rate, I am SUPER HAPPY for her, and she was telling me how she couldn't help staring at her ring! I love it! I'm so happy for all of my friends!!! And she DID get the Tiffany's ring!

LOL, I did ask for pics... we will see if she sends them! Either way, hanging around PS really gives me an appreciation for how much people vacillate about their guest lists, and to know that she really would be thrilled to have me there really means a lot. We were really close in HS, but haven't been nearly as close since. It's nice to know that you are still relevant, lol. I haven't seen her in probably 2 yrs... when I met her FI! I'm so happy for her, she is about to finish her PhD from Columbia, as well!

So which ring did she get? SO has a HS classmate who works as a manager at a Tiffany's...perhaps I should nudge him in that direction.

I believe she got a round brilliant with a bead set band. I'm not a Tiffany's girl myself, since they don't sell trillions  , so I am not well versed in their styles. It's simple and classic and suits her perfectly. OMG, I can't believe all of my friends are growing up!  Indy, your comment made me laugh because 3 years ago, a friend of mine took his roommate to help him pick out an e-ring. (so this is 2 guys in a jewelry store ) Anyway, they ended up with a 10K ring.  I've been saying ever since, that if SO wants to go ring shopping, I know who to point him too!

Date: 9/13/2008 1:17:09 AM Hahaha...luckily SO's classmate is a woman! I always feel bad/scared for him when he goes to any B&M store because I am afraid he is like fresh meat to the SAs. He knows some basics, but not enough to where I would be confident with him making the purchase on his own without any input from more knowledgable people.
