Hi everyone,

I want to upgrade the diamond I bought from USACertedDiamonds a 2 years ago based on the recommendations made from this site.  I really want to upgrade the ring to a bigger size but they do not provide this service so I am kind of stuck.  Our anniversary is comign up and I really want to get her the 2.0 carat that she wanted.

The current diamond I have is a AGS 000 "Hearts & Arrows" 1.6 carat diamond and is GIA certifed.

Does anyone know of a dealer that will provide an upgrade service for a diamond that they did not sell?  I am confident that the diamond that I purchased was high quality with great dimensions / sparkle.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Some people have put diamonds on consignment at Pearlman's.  And in the past, sometimes James Allen would take AGS or GIA certified stones in trade. You'd have to call and see what the current policy is.

I think an AGS H&A would be relatively easy to get rid of.  Just start sending out emails/make phone calls.

Try James Allen, Good Old Gold, Pearlman's, and Winfield's for starters.  Don't be scared of rejection!

Ditto and try Wink also.
