Hello,

Thinking about buying this Tiffany & Co. saphire ring: http://albagem.com/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=41 Does anyone know what the proper color for a pink saphire should be (dark or light)? How can I tell if the saphire is really high quality? Is $5000 a good price for the ring? I just want to make sure the purchase makes sense and the value is there.
Thanks,
Enya

What are the ring details - carat weight - metal, diamonds included on setting, etc.?  I have a pink sapphire that has a lot of fire to it and although not from Tiff & Co, has a beautiful rich pinky/magenta color, not light pink.
The rings I saw at T & C usually have great color!

All in platinum:

Stones/Carat Weight: Rectangular brilliant cut pink sapphire 1.20ct, with trillion side diamonds total weight of .32ct, G-H color, VS clarity. The picture of the ring is here:

Looks like a fine stone, mounting and accent diamonds at a fair price.

But it contingent upon a favorable appraisal by an independent appraiser, and you can't lose.

Has anyone ordered anything from Albagem before? Their prices seem very low for Tiffany's.

I found Albagem on eBay (here is their feedback http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=albagem&ftab=FeedbackAsSeller) and they also have a small store in Beverly Hills. When I was in Beverly Hills a week ago, I went to their store and looked at the ring. I am new to colored stones and just wanted to make sure I am buying something that really has value.

Thanks for everyone's input!
