He's very lazy about cooking, but I am not sure how much preparation these things need... Has anyone tried Omaha Steaks products? SO and I talked about them once before, and he did sound interested...

Well, Kris isn't really into red meat so it wouldn't be his thing, but I think it sounds awesome! Does you guy like to grill? Grilled fillet with blue cheese and a red wine reduction sauce is SO GOOD. Especially with a really good bottle of Pinot. Mmmmmm...

I once had on an airplane many years ago.  It was good, but prime cuts are readily available in my area.

My family got Omaha Steaks as a present from some Nebraska friends, and they were wonderful. We really enjoyed them, and it was a unique gift. I'd be pretty excited about getting them again, and so would FI. We love steak!

My BF would LOVE that!!! He's a huge red meat eater...and I don't eat that at all, I'm just a chicken and turkey girl...so he would love the thought of me getting and preparing steaks for him...

Great idea...I say go for it!

I know I am in the minority here but as an avid red meat eater (and a bit of a snob with my cuts) I really do not like Omaha Steaks.  I do not think that prime cuts of meat should be frozen.  Personally, I feel their products are incredibly overpriced.  Again, just my humble opinion.

If you want to get him some nice cuts of steak why not visit your local butcher shop.  For Valentines Day one year I got FI two fillets (which I cooked for him for dinner) and a gift certificate to the same butcher so he could get whatever he wanted.
