So, ladies, we just received and watched our wedding video. It is as bad, nay, it's WORSE than our photos. CHICAGOLAND BRIDES--DO NOT USE RB Photography and Video. Please. They are horrible. You can take a look at my post about the awful photos if you need proof. I don't know what to do. I hope my father can get his money back, because the video isn't worth a dime. The color is off, the light exposure is either way too much or not enough at all (and it's clear that the videographer was constantly trying to adjust it) and he didn't get any of the shots I was hoping he would have covered that the photographer missed. He didn't even get video of us the moment we first saw each other--he was out in the hallway videotaping the bridal party, instead. And yes, I said that I absolutely wanted photos AND video of that moment, and now we have neither. I already cried about it. OMG, Haven, Im so sorry for everthing you've been going through. Its terrible. No bride should have to feel this way about her photos and video from her wedding day. Im so sorry.

Oh Haven....I am sooooooo sorry to hear that. I was really hoping that you would be super happy with them and that you would be able to capture some stills from the video so you could make an album. (((((((((((((((((( Haven ))))))))))))))))))<-------------------- big hugs. I know that this is such a disappointment for you. You were a stunning bride and you have a most handsome husband. The photos you posted here even before your wedding and your honeymoon show that. I hope that you can create some sort of memory of your amazing day that helps lift your spirits. Haven, I am so so sorry, that is awful and no one should go through that, you have handled this with grace. I will pray your dad can get his money back, that is not fair! hugs honey. You and your hubby are beautiful, I hope you take more pictures w/a different photographer or some friends have some good pictures.

Aww, thanks ladies. You are all so sweet, I love PS so much. I really appreciate the support. I wish I could take out a billboard warning brides, I'd hate for anyone else to be so disappointed. I came back to add that I forgot to mention that our horrible photographer is in nearly every second of video. And during most of it, he isn't taking pictures, he's standing there listening to the toasts, laughing at the jokes, watching people dance, NOT PHOTOGRAPHING ANYONE! Anyway, I thought that was amusing. Hubby said "He's in every shot so he can haunt us forever." Oy. Haven, I'm so sorry, that's terrible! Nobody deserves to have this happen to them, but least of all someone as sweet as you. I'm almost crying over here for you, it just breaks my heart to hear of things like this happening to people. From all of the pictures that I saw, you were a stunning bride, and although you may not have the photos you want (which you deserve to have), at least know that everyone who was there will carry the memories of the day with them, and know just how beautiful it all was.

Haven- I am soooo sorry that you had such an AWFUL experience. If you are able to get your money back, I would consider finding a fabulous photographer and doing a "trash the dress" shoot of you and your hubby. My friends did this when their photos turned out less than spectacular and their second photographer took some great photos of them playing in fountains and other great things. I know there is no way to be able to recapture the emotion you felt on that day, but just remember that you will have a lifetime with your wonderful new husband to create new memories and capture them on film. Oh no! I'm so sorry Haven. Have you done a shout out to family and friends for photos? Some of my favorite wedding pics were taken by my father in law, rather than the photographer. ((HUGS)) I wish I had something more helpful to add.

Haven, I am so sorry.  Thank you for posting this warning. My fiance and I are in the NW suburbs and actually looked at them. So sorry your video did not turn out well. I hope your dad gets EVERY penny back.

That really sucks a$$. I am sorry to hear that you're dealing with this mess Haven. You had such beautiful moments to capture, and to find out that your photographer was an amateur, AFTER the fact, really stinks. Keep your head up and KEEP SPREADING THE WORD!

Im so very sorry Haven, this is a total fear of mine. Try to get as many pictures as you can from family members and find out if anyone else took a video camera with them that day. Make a compilation of the best photos and although you may not have physical proof, those memories will always be alive within you.

awww, that stinks--i'm so sorry! were the photographer and videographer from the same company? i was just thinking if you sued to get your money back, at least the videographer gave you proof that the photographer wasn't doing his job. i hope your friends and family can get you some beautiful pictures so you can make an album! best of luck to ya!

Haven, so sorry you have to deal with this. I hope your dad gets his money back too. Maybe you could do as some of the other ladies suggested and have a post-wedding session with another photographer in your wedding attire. Hugs!

OMG Haven that really stinks :-( I'm so sorry that you are having such a hard time with photos/video. It seems so unfair when you were SUCH a beautiful bride that you aren't happy with the documentation of the day :-( Not much else I can say about fixing it other than maybe have another photoshoot in your dress with your hubby. Pick a photog that you always wished you could have picked and get some wedding pics taken! ****************** |

Haven, this is just sad sad news. I can't imagine how disappointed you both must be. This is honestly my worse nightmare and the scariest thing for me about planning our wedding, so I just feel so much for you both. Hopefully you can salvage some pics from friends and relatives to come up with a beautiful memento of your wedding. Lots of hugs!

Aww man.. I've been holding off on responding to this because I feel so terrible for you Haven. I just posted how awesome my pics were and it just makes me feel so badly that your photographer did that to you. I feel bad for the timing of my photos and your situation too, I know it's not my fault but I just feel so badly for you! Hugs from my end too! You were still a beautiful bride even if the pictures weren't perfect. It was still obvious!

Oh no, I'm so sorry. I hope you have reached out to your friends and family and asked for copies of their pictures. I have to tell you, I have been to a few weddings where the guests pictures were better than the pro-shots. As much as it burns me that you had to pay for a bad photographer and videographer, I'm sure you will find great shots, especially the ones of you two seeing each other from your friends. My friend asked me if I can video her wedding and some of our footage captured a lot of the stuff the videographer didn't cover. Positive thoughts and (((hugs)))

When Gary and I got married we had a dreadful photographer. He brought this woman with him and all she did was yell at everyone to get into place for pictures. I was so upset by her. The photos were horrid too. No close ups and everyone was always looking the wrong way. We only had 3 nice pics. I am so sorry that you have had a similar experience. I know how you feel.
