Wedding Pictures Part 1... Rehearsal Dinner |

So I spent all day yesterday sorting through all my friend's pictures of the rehearsal dinner / wedding... After trying to do them all at once, i broke the rehearsal dinner pictures into a different section... Good news is that I finished the rehearsal dinner pics... Bad news is I'm not close on the wedding pictures yet... Those will have to wait a few more days until i have time... So here are a few pics from our rehearsal / rehearsal dinner. We had the rehearsal in the afternoon, then a bus came and picked us up and took us to the restaurant. Initially, we wanted dinner in Manhattan, but decided that the view of the city was actually better than being in the city itself—which turned out to be a great move, as we had a perfect night to see the sun set behind the NYC skyline. |

Facing the castle from afar... We used the castle as the backdrop for the ceremony, so everyone walked the long grass to the chuppah. |

Table settings for the dinner... We had an hour long open bar / raw bar... Then a dinner... After the dinner, we gave speeches, the bride and groom's gifts, and then I gave all my groomsmen "gag" gifts...  |

close up of the menu... My wife was a trooper with all this stuff--the menus, customized matchbooks, invites, etc etc etc -- all had the same fonts, logos, color scheme, etc... all of which matched the bridesmaids... The planning of this drove me nuts, but I must admit, everythuing came out great... My only input / request was that I wanted to actually be able to read the font (so many invites have text that is so fancy, you can't read them)  |

Sna, Love your pics! And I have to tell you something so funny....I was on Facebook the other day and saw that one of my best friends is friends with your wife!!! I recognized Lin's pic (since I have seen it before here-one of the pics from the wedding), and I was like, "OMG, I "know" her"!!! How crazy is that? It really is a small world!!! I think my friend knows Lin b/c they went to SHU together, and maybe were in the same sorority (I have yet to ask my friend how she knows her, but Im thinking that's it)!!! I went to SHU too, but I commuted, so I didnt meet many people there. I just think this is hysterical, dont you??!!! Maybe we can be friends on FB!!!!

and of course... the groom's cake... And yes, it was a Carvel. Glad she chose to break it out Friday as opposed to Saturday--the Red Sox lost to the Yankees the day of the wedding... The only downside to the entire day...   |
