Hi everyone, I've got a bit of upgrade on my mind but before I make a firm decision I would like to know if there would be a significant size difference to my eye in going from a 2ct stone which measures 8.21x8.24 to a 2.40 stone that measures 8.57x8.61 Your thoughts are much appreciated... Thanks!

Hi btrfly, Side by side, yes, you could easily see the difference. In a setting, maybe not quite so much, but it is still a nice jump. My .02, if you're wavering, do it now before you get used to the 2 ct. Because to do this jump after you're used to the smaller, it will definitely not be as dramatic.

I would certainly notice the difference myself. That's a nice jump in carat weight, as Ellen said. Do let us know if you decide to go for it! 2.40cts.. yummy! x x x

i would choose the larger unless there is a clarity or color difference and the smaller one is clearer or whiter or whatever. if it is the same go bigger!!

I have a 2.36 and when I was shopping for my upgrade, I felt like the difference between it and a 2 carat stone I was also looking at was rather significant, and to my eyes, quite noticeable. And THAT'S my story and I'm sticking to it! |

The difference is noticeable, but not enough that it would make sense to upgrade later (although to some it is).
