They make me smile and make me all giddy-like, just with my own LIW status! As goes the title, I am new to the LIW area. I have lingered for a bit here, and thought I would add my name to the "list." So here is my story... The bf and I met about a year and a half ago, at a bar/lounge. I never really went to bars to meet guys, and was actually with all the girls for a b-day party, but, despite my best efforts, I couldn't ignore this one. We actually sat and talked for more than an hour. It was going great and for some crazy reason even though I have never really done it, I gave him my number. To make a long story short, a few dates and hours of conversation later, we became bf/gf. The was more than a year ago and I am the happiest I have ever been. I could not imagine how anyone could be more perfect for me. About 6 months ago we moved in together on the agreement that we would eventually get married (ie no co-habitating only) and over the past few weeks, I think he is "ready" to move forward. In fact, we went to visit my family a few weeks ago and he asked for my dad's "blessing" (vs. permission, which I really liked). My family really likes him, and of course, my dad said yes! After we got back from visiting the fam, we have been ring shopping, which is sooooo much fun! I really wanted to tell all my friends, but I don't want to take away from the real proposal, so thanks for allowing me to ramble and share.
