LOL since everyone is throwing updates around, I will too!

We went to a reception for friend-of-parents-son Friday. It was really easygoing, the bride and groom are really outdoorsy types, and they hiked up a mountain to get married. She changed into a white sundress at the top of the 1.5 hour hike straight up (! ) and he wore shorts and a polo. Their whole wedding probably cost around $1000! And it was perfect for them!

Anyhoo, time comes round to go the garter toss and FF caught it! Sorta...you know how all guys avoid it like the plague? Well he avoided it the least and picked it up off the ground in front of him. LOL... And he told me how much he's saved for the ring setting, and he's only got about 1 month left! So I'm thinking an engagement is in my near future!! Aieeee!!!

That is cute! And exciting.

Incidentally, the wedding you described is my BFF's ultimate dream wedding. Seriously. The hiking up the mountain part and all!

Cute story & yay!  Maybe I've been going to non-normal weddings, but lately I've noticed that most of the time the single girls avoid the bouquet more than the boys avoid the garter!

Jcarly it was up on PooPoo Point on Tiger Mountain, where are the paragliders jump from. It was quite the sight from the pics I saw! Ha! The "limo" service shuttled the people who couldn't hike. It was this big ugly truck and they all sat in the pickup bed.

Absolut, I'll tell you that the people who went to the ceremony had so much fun! It was a bonding experience for all involved. I'd totally do it if I didn't envision the exact opposite. LOL.
