I haven't gotten gas in awhile I guess so I'm happy to see that!! YAY! ETA: I'm assuming 4.19 is the price of regular since that's all gas buddy lists... i'm in northern california.

My FI has a gaz guzzler (old explorer that he refuses to get rid of) so he normally uses my car on the weekend and fills it up for me. I checked gasbuddy too and its about 3.79 (fort lauderdale)

Most Alaskans outside of the urban areas heat their homes with heating oil. Prices are ~ $7 a gallon in rural areas. My aunt paid about $800 a month to heat her home last winter. The price per gallon is more expensive now. Remember, this is Alaska and it gets COLD! Many people are worried that they can not heat their homes For those who suggest wood burning, A great deal of AK is tundra hence no trees......... Gas stations are using this as an incentive for people to pay with cash, so they don't have to pay fees every time someone uses a credit card. It's very common in some areas and unheard of in others. I think I just saw $3.94 for 87 in north county San Diego (about 20 miles from downtown SD).
