FI and I are thinking about going to look at some venues this weekend!!! We live in the Sacramento area of California and I've found a few venues online that look promising, but I was just curious if anyone on here has heard of any nice and affordable places around here for an outdoor wedding/reception. I think I've seen a few people on here mention attending weddings in our area so if anyone has any good ideas please let me know! Thanks!

I'm a married woman!!!

I'm getting married in Sacramento!

FI and I have checked out a few venues, but we just bought a big 'ol house, so we're going to save up some more before we tie ourselves to one.

There's:
Grand Island Mansion (gorgeous, on the delta)
Lionsgate Hotel (on the air-force base.  Beautiful grounds, but we were a little underwhelmed by the honeymoon suite)
Sac State Alumni Center (very inexpensive, but right on a busy road and not as nice-looking as in photos - we didn't like it)
Lake Natoma Inn (we liked this one a lot, especially since it's nestled in downtown Folsom)
Victorian Mansion (in Roseville - I'd describe it as quaint.  Plus side, they let you buy and bring your own alcohol)

Shoot...there was another one my coworker recommended to me that we hadn't looked at yet - it's down the road from Grand Island Mansion and used to have a speakeasy.  I'll let you know if I remember the name!

I don't know about pricing, but the rose gardens at McKinley or Capital Park are an option (I've seen reception tents set up for Capital Park weddings, and there are lots of restaurants and two hotels nearby that can probably accomodate receptions).

There are also quite a few wineries in the delta/Lodi area and in the Amador/El Dorado County foothills that might have events venues:
