Sabine Ideal Rock Total Posts: 2,883 Last Post: 11/21/2009 Member Since: 8/16/2007	While at one of my friend's dress fittings (see my other post), one of my friends found a headpiece she was in love with. However, the shop is charging $150 for what is essentially a fake flower, some white feathers, and a barrette. So my friend would LOVE to make this for herself, and I'm sure she could, but she's not sure where she could find white feathers like these. Any ideas? Or have you seen anything similar for MUCH cheaper? Thanks!

Could be a fun project, or it could drive you to distraction, no idea how to work with feathers, but the stuff is certainly out there.

You could look her up and ask where she got the feathers? ETA: Go here. She has some that are similiar to the one your friend wants, though not exactly the same. Perhaps she can find one she likes just as much? I think they are pretty large, but I asked the seller to make a custom piece for me and she did, with shorter feathers. I loved it! If you sent her the pic I'm willing to bet she could duplicate it. For a (lower than $150) price. Not sure if your friend would rather make it herself.
