So frustrated with my new camera !

niccia Cut Rock Total Posts: 292 Last Post: 11/11/2009 Member Since: 2/18/2008	I just bought a nikon coolpix s550 because I wanted a cute little camera that would fit into my purse, but it takes horrible pictures close-up. I am trying to take some ring shots and everytime I try to focus it starts to shudder and makes a lot of noise. Is that normal? And they are very blurry (I am using macro mode). I have wanted to take some flower/ring shots forever after admiring all of yours on SMTR and it's driving me bananas I think I may have to return the camera and get a new one soley for that purpose! I just noticed the huge thread on camera recommendations so I am headed over there now :)
