This might be the dumbest question in the world, but I have seen diamond vendors list them as 2 different cut grades, or styles. If I am looking at lists of round diamonds for earrings, am I safe getting AGS Ideal even if the diamond does not say H&A? Thanks!

Yes, AGS0 should be a fine choice, also a diamond can display an arrow pattern yet not be a true hearts and arrows diamond, it depends what you want, if you want both, then check out some of the branded cuts perhaps. But for earrings then AGS0 would be lovely either H&A or not. ![]() Nothing is more sacred as the bond between horse and rider...no other creature can ever become so emotionally close to a human as a horse. Thanks, Lorelei! I thought as much, but I just wasn't sure. If I don't necessarily need H&A's for my earrings, I can get bigger diamonds!

H&A is optical symmetry. IMO you don't need that for earrings (actually not even for some ERs again IMO). Definitely go for the larger ones!
