Hello,

I saw this posting on Craig's List but I don't know if it's a good buy.  The seller e-mailed me and said that it is a natural diamond but not certified. She also said that she'd be willing to meet me at a jeweler of my choice to have the ring inspected.  What does everyone else think?

Thanks,

Tracy

The SI3 designation would indicate that whoever estimated it was using EGL criteria.  This is not promising, as even the best EGL ratings are typically a color & clarity grade lower if held to GIA standards.

Price some 2.50 carat princess cuts in the K-J/I1 area for comparison, but that pricing is only useful if the grading holds up (?) More importantly, there is no information about cut - which determines performance quality and is the most important factor to most people after size.

For the price I'd rather have something like this, even though it's smaller.

2.16 I SI1 princess

Good post!

Nothing is more sacred as the bond between horse and rider...no other creature can ever become so emotionally close to a human as a horse. When a horse dies, the memory lives on because an enormous part of his owner's heart, soul, very existence dies also...but that can never be laid to rest, it is not meant to be...
