Hi everyone,

I would also like help from our shoe experts. My fiance is only about three inches taller than me, so I would prefer a true flat, however, I would accept a kitten heel. My dress is a Pronovias, so Spanish style, lots of lace and beading. It is pictured on the current Pronovias thread - the Laya.

I would like a pointed toe, or peep toe, flat, preferably with some beading, in an offwhite. I don't really have a budget. I came way under on the dress so I can afford to drop some money on the right shoe.

Thank you for your help[:)

I'm not sure if you'd go for a silver shoe, but here's one: http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/41532656/c/632.html

I am bad at shoes. I am a lifelong Florida resident, so my shoes range basically from casual flip-flops to dressier flip-flops. I'm worried that my dress has so much lace and beading - don't my shoes have to also?

IMO, a plainer shoe would ground the details of the dress.

i agree with aprilcait - something plainer that didn't clash would be better.  there's a cute pair of cream jewelled ballet slippers on amazon.com of all places and only $21 - bargain!  Although, of course if money's not a problem and you want something you can wear again, Miu Miu do a darling range of jewelled metallic ballet slippers

or, if you wanted to carry on the lace effect, try these, again from zappos I think, but then again, I don't know what the lace on your dress is like so not sure if these'll clash

MaggieB,

What size shoe do you wear? There are some ivory flats on ebay right now. I wear between a 9-10 and bought the 9 but it ended up being too small. So if you're unsure about your exact size then buy the larger one. Here's the link:

Take it from someone who has already made two threads here about beaded shoes, they are not "in" right now and are therefore nearly impossible to find; I haven't seen a single beaded wedding flat.
Here is a lacy one though:http://www.zappos.com/n/p/p/7308647/c/3.html

These are totally cute. I'd wear them with jeans in a heartbeat!

Thank you everybody!  I'm sorry I've been a little slow to respond.  This is my final week of classes before I graduate from college so I've not had the time to compulsively check Pricescope like I like to do

I've given a lot of thought to the shoes, and while I love all of the flats, they just don't seem to me like they "go" with the dress.  I get that some of you think I should go simpler with the shoe and let the beading and lace on the dress stand out.  That's a really good point.  But the dress looks very vintagey and these shoes just seem very modern to me.  San Diego Lady found a couple of pointed toe flats that I think do look a little bit more traditional, especially I think the first one from Perfect Details.  I'm also going to consider going plain satin to not compete with the dress.

Thanks guys!
