Hi Everyone! We just got married on Tuesday here in Maui and won't be home until August 1st, but I just had to share with you and let everyone know the wedding was a HUGE success! The fuchsia shoes were a hit and almost everything went smoothly, which was such a blessing. The rain held off just long enough for us to say "I do" and then a rainbow appeared, so who could ask for more? I haven't had time to upload any of my own photos yet, but the photographer (who I was NOT very happy with as you may be able to see from some of the pix, of which there is very little variety, details later) has emailed me a link to the pictures...we have to choose 150 that we want within the next few days so she can try to get us the CD of photos before we leave the island, so I couldn't think of a better group to help me choose than my favorite PS'ers! I will also have a ton of candid shots from the umpteen million cameras that my friends had with them, which many were better than the pro pix. Everything looks beautiful - I like 65, 90, 114, 154, 156, 160, 164, 167, 170, 173, 180, 190, 194, 198, 200, 208, and 215 the best... I absolutely LOVE your dress!

Wow Harleigh, I think the pictures are great! You and everyone look fabulous! It seems like you could get the number down to 150 if you cut out some of the pictures there are of the same exact people in the same pose but from a slightly different distance. Just pick which distance is the most flattering, and go with that one. Congratulations! I especially love the pictures before the ceremony on the steps! ETA I also LOVE the shots by the waterfall and on the beach! gorgeous!

I'm sorry to hear you didn't get as much variety as you were hoping/expecting from your pictures. There are quite a few that are really beautiful though! I think to pick the best ones, I agree with Sabine...out of each group of the same people/same pose, just choose the one you like best, where everyone is smiling, looking at the camera, etc. I like the ones on the beach a lot, and there's one of you and your husband on the bench that I like (the one where you can see your shoes) - I think it's a cute/different picture.

Hi Ladies! You all are so sweet! Thanks so much for taking the time to look through all of the photos and vote for your favorites! I really appreciate your input! I am off to go back through them again myself and try to get 150 I like! And yes, the dress is Casablanca 1831, which neatfreak also wore, and it was absolutely ME...it fit perfectly! What beautiful photos! You look stunning, and so does everyone and everything else. Congratulations. I could never pick just a few, but agree that picking the best shots from different distances of the same poses will help to narrow them down!

Congratulations Harleigh! I love the pictures, and there are so many, it's hard to choose. I've looked through them and I still can't decide. I like the idea of choosing the ones from the angle and distance that you prefer (I think Sabine originally suggested it). The ones on the beach are some of my favorites.

Oh, dear, you ladies are just so sweet! Thanks for all of the kind words and help picking photos. Even though I haven't been able to respond to everyone, I have been writing down your favorites and submitted them yesterday. We just picked up the professional CD's today and my friend also sent me over 800 photos she and her husband took while here on their high resolution Canon, so I have A LOT to sift through. I'll work on it when I can while here, but we leave Thursday and then won't be home until Friday afternoon. I think we're taking the road to Hana tomorrow, so will be gone all day then, too. We're headed out the door again in a few minutes, so I'll be in touch with better photos soon! Thanks again, ladies! Love, Harleigh |
