Hi Ladies...

I am a newbie and I've been lurking around for quite some time but now I'm in need of some help/advice! I am in the process of planning my August 2009 wedding in Los Angeles and need opinions on our lovely oceanfront brunch buffet reception!  I just don't know when we should take our pictures??? the ceremony will be 11-11:45 and reception from 12-4 (It is located in the same location as the ceremony)... Does anyone have any advice??? Should we do them before? after? I was possibly thinking of doing them after the ceremony while everyone gets situated and starts being called for food? And we will just make our entrance than get our food after the other tables have received their food. A friend of mine did them after but with dancing and partying (our families can party anytime of day! lol!) my hair and make-up wouldn't be the same! I would love the feedback and opinions!!!!!!!

Thanks in advance!!!

I'd say before the ceremony. That way you're not rushed and stuff. And it'll be sweet and intimate too. Those always photograph well. You see the groom so sweet and emotional, and can't keep his hands off the bride (but not in a tasteless way).

I'd love to to a morning ceremony. Then golf or barbeque all day into the evening. So I'd definitely do my pictures first before I accidentally spill something on me or have my hair get windblown or mascara run...

Thank you ladies so much for your opinions!!! And you both brought up wonderful points! I didn't even think about the wind at the ceremony either especially being on the marina!!! I think I'm going to do them before the wedding!

Thank you again ladies!
