So I went shopping in the Jewelry buildings in Boston with Allison D., KeepingTheFaith and KTIceRN on Saturday. Our real reason for being there was to look at asschers and settings for KTF. But Allison brought us into a colored stone store and I thought I'd take a look at the sapphires. I've been looking around for a cushion cut sapphire for quite some time now, for a RHR. They had a beautiful one there, that I fell in love with. And not only that, but they also had the perfect setting for it. So, being that we just bought a house and I'm saving for my wedding in two months, it's on layaway at the store for right now. BUT...Allison is the Photographer Extraordinnaire of the Century, so I have pictures!! ***DISCLAIMER*** The setting shown in the pics is unpolished, not dirty. Heh. ........................ a full view of the setting...this one is platinum but they're going to make it in 14K white gold for me.

Pretty colour, and I really like the shape. LS p.s. this is completely OFF TOPIC but I am fixated on the stones you can see in the background of your handshots. YIKES like a candy store! Next time you go in, can you photograph the loose gemstones stock for those of us who love to drool over that kind of stuff??

I love that stone.. The color, the cut!!! Everything about it. I even see a little pinkish red in the stone, unless it was the lights. Can't wait to see it set. I also am drooling at the other stones in the background. Linda ******************************** |

What I do know is that it weighs 2.25ct and it measures 7 x 7.5. It's a lovely cornflower color, Allison had me take it to the window to see it in natural light, and it glows!
