Couldn't resist sharing a pic of my new diamond..err..perhaps not really mine![]() Not as nice as the photos at GoG but not bad for an amature.... Many thanks to this site/group and all of the excellent information and friendly folks. The vendors listed here are all amazing as well. You all helped me go from a neophyte to semi-intelligent person capable of making a sound buying decision. Now off to get a setting for it.......

Acanuck, congratulations! Try to put it on direct sunlight or use a flash. It'll put more flashes on the picture. Pricescope |

Thanks, Here are the details - 1.018 carat AGS Ideal 0 6.54mm -6.56mm x 3.95mm Color : I Clarity : SI1 Table - 57% Depth - 60.3% Crown Ang - 34.8 Pav Ang - 40.8 I just paid for a solitaire 4 prong cathedral setting with a square shank in platinum. My fiance really wants a square bottom ring - I've been told Problem is nobody seemed to have one 'off the shelf' so I'm having it custom made. Should be done in a couple of weeks, can't wait. Cost - $800 plus tax.I'll have to try some direct sunlight pictures, unfortunately my apartment isn't very sunny

OK, the cathedral setting I picked out is very much like this (although this shows 6 prongs) - imagine a squared bottom. Opinions ? ![]()
