Here is the story that you all requested... the llink with the pics is: http://www.pricescope.com/idealbb/view.asp?topicID=88881 The ring had been picked out for quite some time.. but was actually in our house for a week tucked away in the safe (which by the way was complete torture!) I was constantly expecting the proposal but figured that it would be on the 4th of july in Pittsburgh... We woke up Saturday morning with nothing to do... He mentioned this place called Govenor Dick's (yes, i also had quite a laugh). It is a state park and on top of this mountain is a 250 ft fire tower where once at the top you can see the entire valley. We hike up this mountain for miles--- and of course i am turning blue from asthma and complaining the entire way. when we finally get to the top and i see this tower i refuse to climb up.. I am terrified of heights. He somehow gets me up there and the view in itself makes it all worth while! it was beautiful! we enjoy the view for awhile and then D carves our initials into the tower and takes a picture. we are about to leave when i turn around he has the ring out and is getting on one knee... i cried immediately! |

Awww, that is so incredibly sweet! I love that he took a photo of your carved initials just before he asked also. Very romantic! And I teared up a bit when you said that you immediately started crying.  Congratulations again!

I actually wasn't expecting it because the ring was not yet insured... and i was positive that he would not take it out.. especially to go on a hike!!!! plus i was too busy wheezing and complaining and wondering what the heck i was thinking!!!!
