Two questions for all of you experienced diamond people out there :)

First, what is the depth and spread of a cushion supposed to be? Or is that another one of those "whatever looks good to your eye" things?

Second, has anyone had experience with Henri Daussi? We are looking at a setting (that I LOVE) from him. Any advice?

Thanks!

Unfortunately, there is no formula as yet for cushions that you can use, which will give you a well cut diamond, I wish it were that simple!  Also it is weight distribution that is important with fancy shapes as to where extra weight can be hidden, as well as the depth.  Of course the depth percent is important to know, but it doesn't necessarily relate to the face up spread as it does with rounds.

Your best bet is to work with a vendor like Mark at www.engagementringsdirect.com or Jon at www.goodoldgold.com if you are searching for a cushion, one which can supply detailed photos which are so important when buying a cushion, and also ASET images if possible.

Nothing is more sacred as the bond between horse and rider...no other creature can ever become so emotionally close to a human as a horse. When a horse dies, the memory lives on because an enormous part of his owner's heart, soul, very existence dies also...but that can never be laid to rest, it is not meant to be...
