Need opinions and advise on this sapphire. It is 5.41ct, ceylon sapphire, eye clean, heat treated. In terms of colour, cut and look, is it a good sapphire?

Difficult to say from that picture - I can't see anything that says 'don't go near it' if that helps. Is that US dollars or AU dollars? If AU what is it in US$? Personally I wouldn't buy a stone without seeing it in person or buying it from a dealer who I trust and who knows what I want. What are you going to do with it?

I was thinking of bidding on it. That's in AUD dollars but I thought maybe for a treated stone the estimate was abit high. Currently the AUD is 0.96 to USD. I can't believe the hammer price! $10500! Must be some mistake. I did see the stone in viewing and it was lighter than the picture and in some light had abit of violet sheen which doesn't seem to show through the picture. The setting is not exactly all that appealing though, very bulky.
