I have had this braclet my grandmother gave me for a few years now. I just thought I'd show it off. I have no idea what any of the stats on it are. I can tell that  something was engraved on the inside of it but it is worn off now. I just think its pretty! I don't ever wear it though. Doesn't match much;)

That's pretty. Do you know how your grandmother ended up with it? Who gave it to her or anything? I love knowing the stories behind things.

A very pretty bangle bracelet.I would have the prong work checked on the bracelet before wearing again...the closeup shot shows that there might be a prong missing on one of the large stones and that they are bent out of alignment.

Thanks for the compliments everyone! :)

jewelerman,

I will look into getting it repaired. How do I go about finding someone reputable to repair it? Maybe I will get it appraised while I am at it. I haven't ever actually worn it anywhere other than my house. It seems a little over the top to wear in normal circumstances. I don't want to get mugged walking down the street. Anyways, I h aven't had an opportunity to wear it.  I was thinking of wearing it as my “something old” at my wedding.

Do you already have your wedding dress? I think your idea to wear it as your something old is sweet. You could even design your dress around that unique antique piece. Definitely wouldn't need a lot of other jewelry!
