Hi all,

I''m planning on surprising my mom with a round bezel set diamond pendant for her 60th birthday later this year. Here are some diamonds I found that are within my price range.. could you please reply with which would be better?

Also, I was thinking about a .5 or .6 diamond in the WF setting, but for the bezel to be as thin as possible so the diamond is more prominent. What are you opinions on the carat weight?

Thanks!!

Sorry, I just realized this should have been posted in Rocky Talk. How do I move this?

Wow, I'd personally love to have a daughter like you!!! You are so sweet.

If both are in your price range, I like #1 better :) Bigger diameter, better color :) What's not to love?

Wow, they're nearly identical on the HCA. Go with the bigger one if they're both in budget. You can ask Andrey to move the thread using the Message Admin button in the top right of your first post.

Do you have the diameter measurements for each please?

No, I don't have the diameter measurements. They aren't posted on the website.

The difference between the 2 diamonds is approximately 700 dollars.

Is it worth it for an additional .15 ct??

Any feedback is appreciated!

I just got a 0.50ct round bezel-set pendant from WF...nice choice! An extra $700 would have been prohibitive for me; otherwise, I would have chosen a larger stone. This isn't the greatest picture, but you can get an idea of the proportions from my shoulders and collarbone.

My stone is a J/SI1 (eye-clean); here's another neckshot that might give you a better idea of how it looks while on.

Mine was made with the standard WF bezel, and I think the proportions are fine...it's enough of a bezel to give it some extra diameter, but not enough to overwhelm the stone.

Also, I'm a tall girl (5'8") but not heavy. If your mom is on the larger side, you might want to go with a bigger stone.

Hope all of this helps!
