I would say to pass on this one. The table is very, very small; I would not accept fair to good on symmetry or a thick girdle. It's also not very round. In addition, the color and clarity would be questionable because of the EGL. So I'd never spend $10,000 on a stone with that many problems.

It would depend on what you want.  I would also pass on this one like DS said and for much the same reason.  However, you said you are looking for a second-hand stone, and I wonder what it is YOU are looking for.  Maybe that would help me help you better.  Do you just want big for less money?  That stone certainly is.  Have you seen it?  Does it speak to you?  Have you seen a really well cut stone in person?

This ring is for my mom.  Rather than spending a ton of money on something brand new, there are many people selling their engagement rings online for a cheaper price.  This ring was up for sale and I thought it would be a better deal if I were to buy a "used" ring and have the diamond reset in a different setting.  Is this ring worth buying for $10K?  If not, how much should I ask to buy the ring for? I haven't seen the ring in person yet but I thought I put the ring's spec out there to get feedback from you all.

Thanks!

blank = HORRIBLE !!

it is always harder to find a "mind clean" stone than a eye clean stone.

Okay..based on your feedback, I'll pass on this stone too.  I just did a PS search and it looks like I can find something on PS for under $10K.

Thanks all!
