Let me start this thread by saying I have no idea if this is the appropriate forum to ask this question, so if it is not, mods, can you please move this to the right one?  Also, this is not a for sale ad, so I am not going to get into the specifics of the engagement ring / wedding ring that I am trying to sell.

I have lots of experience buying and selling high end watches (Panerai, Ulysse Nardin, Omega, Baume & Mercier, etc...), but have never tried to sell jewelry.  I have offered to help my future sister in law's fiance to sell an old engagement ring/wedding ring set.  I was wondering if anyone here can point me towards somewhere for me to list this for sale, other than "the auction site" since I would love to save him all the seller fees.   Thanks in advance for any guidance that you can provide!!!

Hahahaha, yeah I kinda figured that!  Anyhow, PM's with email addresses, or the URL of some sort of jewelry classified sites would be very much appreciated!!!  Thanks for the response :-)

Why is that? I think there should be!

I don't know nebe. I think there was some drama that happened long before I was around. So now, everything is out in the open, unless you have people's email addresses...

Hi nubreed,

I often tell my clients to take their items to 4 or 5 estate jewelry buyers for free "offers to purchase."
This helps you to determine what the market is paying for your particular items. Usually there will be one
high offer and one low offer with a few in the middle range.
Additionally, the metals market is high right now and it's a good time to sell. Certain diamond shapes and
sizes are in demand while others are not. Established jewelry buyers have the ability to write a check on the spot
which saves you listing or consignment fees. This is just one option...there are many. Good luck.
