My FI has been more than wonderful to me all of these years and I really wanted to get him something special for his birthday (esp since he just surprised me with the most beautiful Tahitian things that cannot be named necklace and earrings). He has been drooling over this watch for a while now, he was actually wanting to buy us matching ones for Christmas, so I just decided to order it ahead of time

I'll take real pictures as soon as it comes.

Hmm .... matching ones .... does this mean you will be getting one for Christmas, too?!

What a great birthday surprise! He will love it! DH and I have Tags and we love them. His is a few years newer than mine, so I'm thinking I'm due for one! Look forward to seeing photos!!!

Congrats! Man, I wish my DH would go along with the matching thing. I'd be "eligible" for an Omega Constellation I think! However, when it comes down to it, I want a Tag, the Aquaracer model.

It's funny ladies, ever since we got really serious he was all about the matching Tags while I was like. Now I'm kind of into it and I think it's cute he wants matching ones. So yes this means I will be getting one. Maybe even sooner than Christmas since he only has to buy one now. MY B-day is in August so maybe then

Whoohoo I got the tracking and it will be here on Thursday! It would have been sooner but I forgot about the holiday. Oh well this will keep me from giving it to him early hahaha. I'm so excited about this you would think it was for me!

He better love it! it's the one he wanted. I would have at least prefered the automatic with the diamonds . He's had an automatic Tag before and used to have to send it in EVERY YEAR to get it fixed (at like $300 a trip). IMHO I think he got a defective Tag. I had never heard of that before.

Has anyone here had problems like that? I really want an automatic

Ditto!!!

Nothing is more sacred as the bond between horse and rider...no other creature can ever become so emotionally close to a human as a horse. When a horse dies, the memory lives on because an enormous part of his owner's heart, soul, very existence dies also...but that can never be laid to rest, it is not meant to be...

Yikes, that's expensive maintenance. DH attempted to kill his Ebel automatic once. He has about 6-7 watches, including 2 junky Timex plastic types specifically for grunge work and building. He forgot to change to one, and hammered nails for several hours one day. That basically killed the Ebel. Somehow though, it came back to life. I don't know how. He took it to an expert watchsmith, who told him how stupid he was, and was given an estimate for repair. But the thing came back to life again in a few days. You can overwind them or damage them with repetitive stress like that. I have an inexpensive mechanical that is fun to wear because it's a big pink Sturling skeleton watch. Hard to read because the numbers on it are Dali-esque. It does have to be set every time I wear it though. I'd probably go for a Tag quartz myself. (I hope to, anyway!) Just less hassle.
