Well, we ended up deciding to go with Mark at ERD. We're leaning towards this stone because it fits our criteria and budget, plus Mark says it is cut well and has good brilliance.

Just wanted to hear your thoughts on it...
Cushion Brilliant
7.09 x 5.65 x 3.85mm
1.12 carat
Color: G
Clarity: SI1
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Good
Fluorescence: None
Table: 62%
Depth: 68.1%
Faceted: Thin to Thick

I'm a little worried that the symmetry is only good and that it's an SI1, but we did specify we wanted it to be eye clean.

What do ya think ladies?

(We should be getting pictures from him tomorrow.)

Can you post a photo of the stone? I seem to recall you were looking for a more rectangular stone, and at 1.25 l/w ratio, this one is longer than the one Leon had. Photos would be good.

Well, finally got a picture from Mark of the diamond.  I'm kinda frustrated with it because I think the picture is such poor quality that I can't decide if it's a good diamond or not.  Of course, I'm not expert though.  I figured we'd try and ask him for more pictures, but wanted to see what you lovely ladies think...

Any thoughts?

It looks pretty, but it is a little more elongated than I usually like. How were you planning on setting it?

I think it's pretty and I personally like the elgonation of the stone.  However, I really don't know much about cushions.  It would be nice if Mark got some fancier equipment for photographing stones .

ETA: don't worry about the good symmetry, this is a minor issue compared to other aspects of cut.  As long as it is eye clean, the SI clarity should be fine as well and you should have a hard time seeing anything.

Looks beautiful to me and I have yet to see Mark sell a diamond that is a dog.

But his photography skills are certainly lacking a bit...

Well, got a new picture from Mark, and another prospect.

The one on the left is the 1.12 and the one on the right is the new 1.22.

Really like the new one and hopefully it's available and in our price range.  Don't have much specs on it yet...
It's an H-VS1.

What do ya think?

I appreciate the comments. :)

yes, Mark, turn the lights ON.

I think those stones look like they could be really nice.

Personally, I prefer stone # 2. Hope it's in the price range.
