I went to a nice jewelry store today to look at watches. I just happened to call them this morning to see which models they had in the store before I drove 45 minutes to get there. She told me what they had and then proceeded to say that they are going out of business at the end of this month. Everything in the store is 50% off!!!

They still have some beautiful Gurhan pieces! Honestly, I was very, very tempted to get a few things, but I decided to get two watches and a couple of pendants for gifts for our daughters, so I could not do Gurhan, too.  I see why you 22-24k girls love it, though!!! It was just gorgeous!!!

I told the manager that I knew some people who might be interested, so she said just to call and she can tell you what they have and send pictures of anything you are interested in.  I did bring home the Gurhan brochure/catalog, so I can at least gaze at it!

http://www.beyajewelry.com/beya_designer_jewelry_gurhan.html

Ask for the manager, Christina. Tell her your friend who bought the two Longines watches on Saturday told you about the Gurhan. Phone number is at the bottom of that webpage.

HI:

Earrings, rings, bracelets or necklaces?  I like the simple colored stones rings--bezel set. (cabachon cuts...).  Ring a bell DS?

Congrats on getting what yuo wanted!

cheers--Sharon

They had one set of 3 thin stacking rings with 3 different colored stones. They had a regular size ring with the E-W bezel oval ruby, but I think it was faceted. It fit me and I wanted it!!!   They had about three pair of fairly classic earrings. One was the gold hammered discs with a small diamond in the center. There were a couple of pairs of hoops with diamonds spaced apart. Gorgeous!  There were a couple of crosses with colored stones of some kind. There was a thin bangle with small black diamonds spaced every inch and a half or so and matching earrings to that.  There was a lot more, but those were the things that I remember most.  Oh, and little hoops with dangling rubies...gosh so many pretty things!  I felt like I would have had to get a ring, earrings, necklace, and bracelet if I bought anything, so I just couldn't do it. I'm still tempted, though!

I just remembered there was another ruby ring with several stones, too.

They are open Mon-Sat 10am-6pm eastern time.

These may not be the exact pieces, but these are similar to some of the earrings:

http://www.pearlmansjewelers.com/jewelry-designers/gurhan-jewelry/earrings/62GG2/54/

http://www.pearlmansjewelers.com/jewelry-designers/gurhan-jewelry/earrings/05GG2/102/  (except with diamonds...I loved these!)

Black diamond bangle (not sure which width):

There were many other things. I don't see them all on the Pearlman's site.

This is the pair I have been hankering after:  diamond flake earrings with diamond briolettes.  The photo is from Bill Pearlman's website, where I have it on my wishlist :-).  It would need it to be 50% off at least, however!

HI:

Those are very sweet Deb...honestly there isn't a thing I "couldn't" have...

DS--what size is your finger (you tried on the ruby)?  I have a 6.25 RH and wonder if those stacking rings would be too "dainty" for me...I mean would you "need" to have more than one?

cheers--Sharon

My right hand ring finger is a similar size.  I have some of the stacking rings.  (I have the ones with the tiny round stones.)  (I also have some of the earrings that diamondseeker says they are selling with a diamond center stone.  The fourth ones down on her list.)

As to the size of the stacking rings:  there is no "need" with Gurhan-as in "need" to have more than one.  It's a matter of taste.  The stones are small, though.  (If we are talking about the same stacking rings.)  I would prefer to stack them.

Yes, I have a number of those, Sharon.  It is only my opinion, but I have fairly classic taste.  (I do not generally wear big jewelry.)  Even though I used to wear things like one of those rings when I was younger, I do think it is "too" dainty for my present fashion sense.  A 16 year-old might wear one (if she had good taste).  I would prefer to wear a few...and I am conservative :-).

I do not wear all of the stackable Gurhan rings I own at once, but I do stack some of them.  On one day, for example, I may wear some stackable diamond bands together.

HI:

Those are very sweet Deb

Do you want to know what's sad?  I just looked at an old thread and in early May of last year (2007) I had just posted a picture of this same pair of earrings in that thread, saying I wished I could buy them!  I must not have wanted them badly, because I bought other jewelry between then and now!

On this page you will find photos of my Gurhan stackable rings. (Apparently I have only diamond rings in the stackable variety.  Gurhan did custom make me a spessartite ring, which is also pictured, but it is not a stackable ring.)  I have earrings in the style diamondseeker liked in three stones:  spessartite (to match the ring Gurhan made me); diamond; and emerald.

I have asked Andrey to re-open the thread in which these pieces appear.  It is one of my all-time favorite Pricescope threads, showing a lot of things I longed for and many of which I actually obtained!

I think the little stacking rings were so thin that they would look best stacked.  The ruby one had more of a band. I also wear around 6 to 6.25 on my RH.  I did not ask the size..I just tried it on and it fit!  I thought, maybe this is a sign that I should buy this!

Deb, I can't recall seeing those exact earrings that you want. They certainly are beautiful, though!  I told the manager that I had friends who would love to see these items and I wished that I had my camera with me. That's when she said she'd be happy to send pictures if anyone inquired. If it wasn't 45 minutes away, I'd just go back and take some pictures, but since they are closed on Sunday, I probably won't be able to get back over there.  There were just too many items for me to remember them all.  But it is certainly a fantastic opportunity for someone!
