If it comes with an appraisal for insurance purposes (which most vendors will provide if asked) AND you are comfortable with the purchase, yes you don't need an appraisal. But if you'd like it confirmed for peace of mind OR you need an appraisal for insurance purposes then it isn't a waste.

I used sales receipts and labe certificates to insure. ~~~ When in doubt...don't.~~~
