My mom has wanted a new blender and I love mine, so I bought her one like mine.  MIL has been wanting some le creuset pieces, so we got her a le creuset stoneware baking dish...and will take her and FIL out to a nice dinner tomorrow night (FIL's b-day is on Mon).

I live in another country and send a card.

DH lives in the same country, which celebrates Mothering Sunday in March. He gave his mother a card and a basket of potted flowers. The usual.

My mum gets snarky with me if I buy her anything! So I fixed her up good this year and made a donation to the Diabetes Institute of Australia in her name (she's insulin-dependent) and gave her a card with the receipt in it. She was rapt! And couldn't get upset with me spending money on her, because it was really spent on someone else! Fixed her little red wagon, I did  I love her so much.

We're doing a combined Mother's/Father's Day celebration over Memorial Day weekend so that my sister and her family and my husband and I can all be there.  I sent my mom a gift cert. to a sporting goods store as she recently joined a gym and I wanted to encourage her to continue going.

My mom lives across the continent so I sent her a card, I'll call her a little bit later. I hope to save some extra money up so that when I see her this summer I can give her something extra to shop or gamble with(we really love slot machines!)

Bf's mom just wants lunch with her sons, so nothing for her. But I think I'll go and buy her a card.

I sent my Grandma a card too, and will be calling her.

And one my best friends passed away 6 months ago, so I think I'll call her mom and step mom.

I bought my mom some perfume- Daisy. For my grandma, I bought some azaleas (light pink, coral, and white with pink trim) and will plant them for her. They make it difficult because they don't want anything lol.

We went to lunch and I baked two cakes for dessert- a chocolate truffle cake with choclate glaze and a lemon ginger creamcheese poundcake with lemon glaze.

I'm so thankful we live close!
