we have ours at weddingwindow.com ... i've received a lot of compliments on it.  I am very pleased, though it isn't free like others.   but it was important to us because we are communicating with our guests a lot through the website.

We used weddingannouncer.com which is is free and worked great for us. It's a little less customizable then I would have liked, but I didn't exactly have a lot of free time to spend in the design process anyway. Our guests didn't realize it was a template so they were impressed.

We used the weddingchannel.com.  It's very basic, but it's free.

i was wondering how long these sites keep the free ones up....theres a spot for a blog on mine and i would hate to go through the trouble of writing one and then a year later have it gone....if i am doing a blog i would want to be able to go back and see it years later, too.....any idea how long they stay up there?

thanks :) have a great day, everyone!

Some of them do expire, but I saved all my pages in htm format to my computer and then started deleting. I couldn't find a way to expire my site though and it said that it will expire if it has no activity in 6 months or something like that. I set it for password protected so nobody can see it, but it's still there. I would suggest that as you work on it, save your pages to your computer/flash drive just in case you do lose them somehow, and for general posterity. I think one of them (wedding window?) burns your site to a disc for you after the wedding. I didn't find that worth what they charge, but it's still a good idea. I personally didn't want mine to stay up too long because I prefer a bit more privacy from google.
