We really liked the Amy Kuschel salon - I think we found 4 dressed that we really loved, which were reasonbly priced given the high quality and the fact that they make it custom to fit you. But, they don't allow pictures - so you will have to use your imagination as I post these runway shots I tracked down...

To imagine - I'm 5'10", about 140-145, VERY pear shaped (size 4 bust, size 6 waist, size 8-10 hips!) so a-line is the way to go for me!

This was my mom's favorite. Alencon lace on the top and silk organza on the bottom. She really loved how the skirt moved  (it is also the least expensive one ~$2700)

This one I think was my personal favorite - but the allover alecon lace means it costs $4400 - yikes

Okay well, the 2700 that your mom loved is one of my favorites... and so is the 4000 Chantilly lace gown. I REALLY REALLY REALLY love the chantilly lace gown. BUT ... $1300 is A LOT of money. So, I'd probably go with the the Ingrid personally. Will there be a trunk show any time soon? 10 or 15% off would be really nice.

No trunk show that I know of...but thankfully the wedding is 15 months away....

I thought the alencon lace one looked nicer on me - the chantilly one fabric is gorgeous, but something about the ruching looked a little off on me.

Well Chantilly is more delicate and Alencon is sturdier. If you liked it better on you, then that's the most important thing!

I'm still thinking of all the things the difference in price could by though. But you have to love your dress.

I was an Amy Kuschel bride! Isn't the quality and cut fabulous? I think all of the dresses you posted are beautiful.

That's true, the price is a big issue! However, this is the one thing my mom is buying for the wedding (we are paying for everything else ourselves)...but $ is $....if I got the more expensive one, I would probably be own my own for veil, accessories, etc. whereas I think the less expensive one she would get those for me....

Its probably not likely I'll be able to get a high quality full lace dress for <$4k or so.....

I love Amy Kuschel dresses! I really wanted to try them on, but there were not any stores within hours of where I live.

I am in love with lace too...my lace Jim Hjelm was around $2k, but it seems like his recent season's pricing has gone up.
