Both are super ideal stones.

The .91 has a triple VH on the brilliancescope while the 1.04 has a H VH borderline H/VH.
The .91 has medium blue fluorescence, 1.04 has none.

Everything else is pretty much the same (HCA 1.5, Isee2 9.8 ) except the .91 is $400 cheaper.  If you've seen my other posts, I'm pretty conflicted about size and I'm not sure if 1.04 might be too big for me.  I also understand the VVS1 is overkill but stock is limited in what I'm interested in.

And yes, I'm the girl that let the .998 F VS2 ACA go despite all your advice.  This time I will listen to you guys, I promise!

Also, have I completely gone off the deep end?  I know I'm super anal and picky but am I going overboard here???  Be honest!

Most people will probably advise going for the 1.04 G, but I know that you will that 0.91 F!    Been looking at it myself (maybe when the kids are out of college.....)  I have an F VS2 with medium blue flour, and it is a great combo.

Good luck.

Pssst...if you're interested, there's a video up on the pages for both diamonds.  They're really stellar stones, which is why it's such a hard decision.

Go for the bigger one, because in a couple months, it will look just like the smaller one. Seriously.

"It is also important for the State to inculcate in its subjects an aversion to any 'conspiracy theory of history' for a search for 'conspiracies' means a search for motives and an attribution of responsibility for historical misdeeds."

-Murray N. Rothbard, in The Anatomy of the State

John Swinton [1829-1901] Chief Editorial Writer of the New York Times (Considered "the Dean of his Profession" by his peers), when asked to toast an 'Independent Press' in a gathering at the National Press Club, circa 1880

"There is no such thing in America as an independent press unless it is in the country towns. You know it, and I know it. There is not one of you who dare express an honest opinion. If you express it you know beforehand that it would never appear in print. I am paid... for keeping my honest opinions out of the paper I am connected with. Others of you are paid similar salaries for doing similar things....

The business of the New York journalist is to distort the truth, to lie outright, to pervert, to vilify, to fawn at the feet of Mammon, and sell his country and race for his daily bread, or for what is about the same thing, his salary. You know this, and I know it and what foolery to be toasting an 'independent press.' We are tools, and the vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are jumping-jacks. They pull the strings and we dance. Our time, our talents, our lives, our possibilities, all are the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes."

In that case, there's a 1.18 G VVS2 with awesome stats.  Just kidding.  That one is definitely over-budget.

I'm hearing you on the super-picky... that was me too. :)

I ended up with VS2 and I could not be more pleased with this clarity.... totally, utterly eyeclean and it's even tricky to spot my clouds with a loupe.

If you can find a VS2 I'm positive even the superest-pickiest bit of you would love it. :)

I'm voting for the bigger stone.. because I've watched my own carat shrink at least 25 - 33% before my very eyes in just a few months.

Unless, of course, there's an even bigger VS2 out there within your budget.

YES!!!    However, you are among friends and enablers, so what the heck; right?

I say go for the bigger one.  You will not regret it in a year.

They are both great diamonds but I'd go for the F.

Out of curiosity, 0.13 carats = what kind of a mm difference?

VS1 is so great and it's over a ct. I vote this one!!!!!

Disclaimer: I think H is perfect, so I don't care about the difference between F and G (I likes me a nice E but that's another story) and I don't care for florescence, your mileage may vary.)

6.26 vs. 6.54

it's pretty visible side by side but i'm not sure how visible once set.

Have you seen them in person? Can you tell a difference between the F and the G?

OMG, I just reserved a diamond they JUST got in. It's a .94 G VS1. A great combination between the two I was originally looking at and for way less $$$. I guess it pays to stalk the website obsessively.

From the way you phrase things here, I think you are leaning towards the .91. I could be wrong, but I'm going to break it down to see.

Neutral.

The .91 has a triple VH on the brilliancescope while the 1.04 has a H VH borderline H/VH.

Not sure I know what this means, but it sounds like the .91 performs better.

The .91 has medium blue fluorescence, 1.04 has none.

Could go either way.

Everything else is pretty much the same (HCA 1.5, Isee2 9.8 ) except the .91 is $400 cheaper.

In favour of the .91.

If you've seen my other posts, I'm pretty conflicted about size and I'm not sure if 1.04 might be too big for me.

In favour of the .91.

I could be reading into your comments too much, but that's how it sounds to me.
