I'm trying to think of favors that will look tropical, and I don't want a cheesy beach-themed favor that will be tossed in a drawer when guests get home. There will be a big number of guests that don't drink, so champagne favors are out. I'm also on a budget. I want my colors to be tropical- cool aqua with a touch of lime while the flowers will be a contrasting pink and orange with a touch of lime. I was thinking of the Jones soda or Stewart's soda... tropical colored sodas with a thank you label. How difficult would it be to remove their label and put my own? Would I have to just place mine over theirs? Should I just leave it alone and make my own tag to tie around the neck? Should I just buy empty bottles and make my own specialty punch?

I don't love jones, but Stewart's is the best! I think their labels are fused with the glass though. Besides, covering or removing the label will prevent people from knowing what they are getting. I would just put a tag tied to the neck or something. Its a cute idea. I LOVE the stewart's peach soda, it truely is the best.

I think this sounds like a fantastic idea! I am right with you in the "practical favor" kind of a way. I am from right outside of New Orleans and was thinking of doing a praline from a famous company in the area. I am a fan of the Stewart bottle b/c I like the colors of soda they offer. Also, I think it would just be easier to make a tag to tie around the bottle, since with a sticker label, you would have to make it the right size, pay someone to print it, etc., etc. But with your own tag, you could print them yourself or have them printed for fairly cheap and fit lots on one page. You could use a hawaiian flower with ribbon to tie it around the neck of the bottle and make it look quite cute! Good luck and I think these will come out quite splendid.

Have ever had Izze? It might be an option as well... they're really yummy!

On the Jones website, they allow you to order bottles with a custom label, but they end up being pretty expensive. I think the tag idea is much better.

Thanks for the replies... it helps. I didn't know you could do the custom labels... I'm sure it's out of my price range though! I haven't had Jones (just thought the colors were pretty when I saw them at the grocery store) but the Stewart's Key Lime... O.M.G. I could drinkt hat stuff 24/7! The key lime would match the light green orchids I want. Their Orange Cream is super good too, but I don't want too much orange... the flowers will be very bright. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |

I hope we can do this, oobie. I had first thought of the little bottles with the sand and shells in it, but then my second thought was, "and then what?!" It goes into a drawer? (but they are so cute).

I think this is a really unique and practical (as well as pretty!) idea! The thank you's around the neck sound like the easiest option, and I think it would look cute!
