I am interested in this diamond. Does anyone have any suggestions on this one? Does it look like a good choice?

Welcome to Pricescope Andrew

This is how it performed using the HCA
Factor Grade
Light Return Very Good
Fire Very Good
Scintillation Very Good
Spread
or diameter for weight Very Good
Total Visual Performance 2.6 - Very Good - Worth buying if the price is right

You can use this tool to look also, like I did above http://www.pricescope.com/cutadviser.asp to weed out stones.
You can use this tool to find the best cut stones by selecting for cut rank Excellent Excellent http://www.pricescope.com/sift.aspx

Hopefully an expert will chime in.  Similar size costs $4k for a better cut stone.

Thanks, This is harder than i thought it would be. Just when i thought i was narrowing it down. I am looking for a .75 or so round cut. I guess around a E or F and VS2 or so. If you happen to find any that you think are good ones, let me know.

same deal pavilion is too shallow for a ring but would be ok as an earring.
Check the pavilion angle and if its under 40.6 careful consideration needs too be made as too what the crown angle is.

in the 2500 range F-G color at JA im running into a ton of them just outside of what PS'ers like.
After about 50 stones I gave up.
The above one I posted is out number wise slightly but the pic looked ok and depending on the averages the IS might look good too and if it does its a nice price for what it is.
GIA rounding wont let me get closer too that for an opinion on it.

what type of setting?
If you can move into the 3000-3500 range on the stone you can find both bigger and better cut ones.

Crown angle to step, and the inclusion is on the Table.  If you can not see it in person how can you tell if it is black or white or even eye clean?  I have seen many GIA VS2 with eye visible inclusions...  Good luck with your shopping...

Of course for that matter we've seen many GIA SI2 that are completely eyeclean. Just goes to show that clarity is more than a grade, it's best to have someone look at the stone.

Any diamond from JA that has a picture is in the NY or MA office and someone can give an in person evaluation of the stone.
