Moms!! Will ya'll be providing some sort of flower corsage or pin to mother of bride and groom? Do you have photos to share?? Thanks! My grandmother FMIL and Mom will all be wearing corsages. I asked for all white corages (for now, we might change them to match outfits later, but this was easier as no one has their outfits yet)... I asked for each to have different flowers, so I think there are two orchid corsages-- different types of ochids, and one rose corsage (grandmother). I asked for two pin one wrist. My mom and granmother are not wrist people and FMIL is a hugger, so a pin wouldn't have worked for her.

I personally think she's a bit off, because I've never seen a mom carry a bouquet, but I'm having a small bouquet (3-4 gardenias) made for her. The florist didn't act like I was nuts when I requested it. Handbags always fit!

A pin would have ruined all 3 of their dresses (taffeta, silk, and a thin iridescent type material), and since it was likely going to be a hot day (it was 95 degrees), none of them wanted something on their wrist. The grandmothers had pinned corsages. The best thing about them though was that my florist never delivered a toss bouquet (!!!!) so my MIL gave me hers to throw - bigtime party saver. I'm going to go look for a pic...

We often reccomend them over corsages so doing mini bouquets over corsages is not an unusual choice. There would also be a minimal price difference between the two (reflecting the choice of flower type) as mini bouquets use very few flowers compared to BM and bridal bouquets. :) Rebecca

Classic and classy. Fast forward to DD's second very formal wedding where I tried to wear a wrist corsage. It was a masterpiece of orchids but the darn thing kept flipping over the wrist until a good friend safety- pinned it on so tight it wouldn't move. (Neither would the blood to my hand.) DS's wedding: I was asked the colour of the dress I'd be wearing, and a lovely orchid pin-on corsage worked fine. Dress material was silky , but no major damage was done. As a personal preference, I liked the single red rose, or pinned- on corsage better than the wrist. The nosegay or smaller bouquet just seems awkward to me as I'd feel like an old Junior Bridesmaid, or flower girl. How do you hold it during the pics without looking silly. ETA: Grandmothers wore pinned-on corsages. They both looked lovely

I've been to a few weddings where the moms had them and it came off as "I can't accept that I'm not the center of attention!" but then it may have just been the way they carried themselves, not just the bouquets. My mom requested a wrist corsage because her dress was couture silk and she didn't want any holes. FMIL just prefers them. My grandmother had a pin-on because she walks with a cane and didn't want it in the way. The sisters all wore wrist corsages because of the fabric material.

We met with a florist today and both her and my daughter asked me about a bouquet and I was like "God no, I have to have both hands free to make sure that my father doesn't step on my daughters dress so she faceplants on her walk down the steps in front of all the guests." Pin a flower on me and I'm fine. Actually, I prefer a nice flower in my hair. I'm a serious hugger too. Hugs are healthly...Bear hugs even better. Don't wanna keep poking my girls...okay, kidlests, but who's measuring. I think we decided on white rose with a gold orchid or some other flower I don't know about with it.
