I have a friend who is a profession photographer, but most of her subjects are dogs and horses. She does both posed and candids and her photos are fantastic. I've never actually met her in person, but we've been on the same horse related message boards for more than 10 years now. Anyway, on a whim I emailed her about how much she would charge to come shoot my wedding. She said she would do it for $500, plus her travel costs and any additional things (prints, etc) she would only charge me her cost. One of the things we've been emailing about has been photography styles I like. I've done a bit of looking around the web at various sites, but since I know that most of you guys have looked at photographers I figured that maybe I could "cheat" a bit on my research. Just enter the site and then click on photographers in the lower left hand corner and it will list them all along with some of their work and will also give you their individual websites.

His trash the dress photos under his blog are the best I have ever seen and have convinced me that I will probably trash my dress when we are in St. Lucia. We love our engagement shots, they took 1,000 pics in about 2 hours around the city so even with us thinking how un-photogenic we are, something good had to come out, right? I would ask your friend how many pictures she plans on taking...the odds get better of catching those special moments the more pics are taken. Her site
