I am super picky about videography and so far have only found two vendors that I would even consider. FI and I would prefer to splurge a little on this area and cut back on other stuff (like the lighting design we put in the budget But that's neither here nor there...).

Anyhoo, I can't figure out which vendor I like more. I realize that your feedback will require you to take time out of your busy day to humor me by watching some samples. For that I would be ever so grateful.

#1 link <--- Samples take a while to load and are long. I swear that its worth it.
-I love their customer service thus far. They have been very responsive to my many questions and they sent me the most beautiful sample DVDs.
-TONS of experience
-Their highlights videos are substanstial (20 mins) and really tell a story and invoke emotion.
-I like their music selections.
-PRICEY, and not willing to negotiate

#2 link
-The main guy is responsive, but not as funny and warm as the folks at #1.
-Newer to the wedding scene
-Shorter hightlights video, but I like what I've seen so far.
-Some of the music I don't like. I would have to give them more direction in this area.
-1000 to 1500 cheaper than #1 for a comparable package

I've been emailing these two for a while, and have consultations set up in the coming weeks. I really thought I couldn't live without #1, but now #2 is starting to grow on me. The cost is a big factor, but like I said, I'd be willing to cut other areas to have a great video.

I really don't know who I prefer at this point. FI likes both but is leaning toward #2 because "he's cheaper" .

If you've made it to this point AND watched some samples, you are awesome!

I just looked at two clips of each and I think that they are both very good, no 1 might be a bit more "arty" as such but I think that no 2 is great also and if there is a huge difference, I'd be tempted to go with no 2. The only thing that would bother me is that he isn't as personable as the no 1 guy. I like a vendor who I get along with and can chat to. The music thing wouldn't bother me as I'm sure you can guide them towards songs that you like.
