buttercup80's post about hair then makeup vs. makeup then hair got me thinking. ladies, what are/were your schedules the day of, both before and during the wedding? i have no clue what i'm doing on that one (maybe i should've hired a planner, heh). knowing me, i'll have forgotten to even put on mascara until after the bouquet toss! anyone care to break down their day for me?

I clearly have no answers - but I just wanted to say I'm glad I'm not the only clueless one!

I don't have too many answers either - things are easy for me I guess because my ceremony doesn't start until 7PM.

I'm getting my hair done at 1:30PM - the hair salon is 30 minutes from where I will get ready....me and my girls will chill out for a little while, maybe pop open a bottle of champagne and then probably start with make-up around 4:30ish

Say 45 minutes for make-up and that leaves me with 5:30 - time to put on the dress! We will probably take a few pictures with my photographer for about an hour before leaving for the church.

I'm getting my nails and toes done two days before the wedding....i can't really think of much else Am I missing something?

I'm starting to figure this out.

I have a 1 pm reception. Need to leave home at 12.
I am having my makeup done but I'm doing my own hair

So

8am wake up
8:15-9:15 workout
9:30-10 shower (girls start arriving for their makeup)
10-11:00 do hair myself/eat something light
11:00-11:20 makeup
11:20-11:45 touch up hair
11:45-12 makeup touchups
12 leave for church and get into gown there.

Good question! At about 3½ months out, I'm still a bit confused on that one... Cleopatra's my date twin, but I'm doing the exact opposite and getting married very early at 11AM. Here's my tentative timeframe:
6AM: Rise and shine!!
7AM: Hair
8:30AM: Get bouquets (next door from the hair salon) and go home
8:45AM: Make-up (DIY) and get dressed
9:45AM: Photographer arrives
10:45AM: Leave for church
11AM: Get Married!!

I've been working on this lately, as well!

Our wedding is at 2.30 and our coordinator has said we need to be at the cathedral around noon to get dressed and have pics beforehand.

Our hair salon is a 20-minute drive from the hotel where we are having hair and makeup done.  The salon said to allocate 2 hours for my hair and makeup, with the bridesmaids' taking less.  With that in mind, we are being picked up from the hotel at 9 am, our appointments are from 9.30 until 11.30, and then we will be dropped off at the hotel by noon to pick up our dresses.  A big bus will pick us up shortly thereafter to take us all to the cathedral, where we will get dressed and ready between 12.15 and 12.45.  We will probably eat some lunch on the way back to the hotel from the salon, although I also have ordered a big fruit tray at the salon.

So I guess

8.00 - 9.00  Wake up, get dressed
9.00 - 9.30  Travel to salon
9.30 - 11.30 Hair and makeup
11.30 - 12.00 Back to hotel/lunch
12.10 - 12.15 Travel to cathedral
12.15 - 12.45 Get dressed, do veil, etc.
12.45 - 2.00 Photos etc.
2.30 Ceremony begins

Handbags always fit!

I just worked this all out for myself too...we have a 3:00 ceremony

8:00 wake up/shower/eat.
10:00 hair appts. at local mall
11:00 makeup appts. at department store at the mall.
12:00 grab some lunch at the food court (silly, but should still be fun, and I refuse to be starving at my wedding!)
1:00 arrive at where we're getting ready (still not sure on this location yet, but I'm hoping there is a nice room at the church).
1:30 photographer arrives and takes pics of us getting ready and me with bridesmaids before ceremony, then takes pics of FI and groomsmen before ceremony.
3:00 ceremony
4:00 pics after the ceremony with whole bridal party (a few at the church, and then a bunch outside at the reception hall)
5:00 cocktail hour begins, so we will hopefully catch some of it.

timely thread.  I just made our timeline yesterday.  Just about 2 months to go to the big day!

I created this timeline w/ my photographer and he says the almost never do these timelines go according to plan.  So allow more than enough time for things.  He actually stressed me out a bit, because he feels we are going to pressed for time.  We want to get as many pics out of the way before the ceremony since the cocktail hour is immediately following (same location) and we don't want to miss out on anything that day!

So this is the general idea....we have a 2:30 ceremony

7:30 am – Bridesmaids & Bride go to salon for hair appt.
10:00 am – make-up begins for bride / photographer arrives (at the house)
11:00 am – 12:30 pm – Mike and Christina photo session w/ photographer
12:30 pm – pictures begin w/ entire bridal party
1:15 pm – pictures begin w/ parents, sibling, and grandparents
2:30 pm – ceremony begins

I should add that it takes a good 20 min to get to the salon and 20 min back.  I obviously will not be getting ready w/ my BMs.  Once my make-up is done and i'm off taking pics w/ Mike the BM's will be having their make-up done.  Since the make-up girl is coming to the house, it won't be an issue.  We are also having the ceremony and reception all at my aunt's house, so everything takes place there, including pics.
